Danoc wrote:First off disk streaming is one thing that was talked about. Biggest thing is AKAI CLEAN UP THE FU***ING GLITCHES! From PDC to standalone.

You asked what if? Bro if disk streaming is messup up its Akai's fault not ours they are the ones doing it. There shouldn't be drop outs while disk streaming. That's one of the joys. Enough ram and DS plugins like Omnisphere which is heavy on CPU, you will be able to open up many instances without your computer blowing up.

As l explained the software on the computer and lm talking about Akais software and l did say also what if people want it in standalone. Orchestral sounds can work in standalone on the MPC, l don't know what you're talking about. Tutor sells it.

Thete is no 8 gigs of ram what are you talking about?

He's talking about the 8gb your pc or future mpc might have.

Wait a minutes are you guys asking disk streaming for the software? :WTF: but why? You use your pc resource with the software, just upgrade your pc, easy.
Please don't tell me that the majority of these threads about disk streaming are for the software and not standalone

Especially input, if they don't have high impedance and headroom is really annoying record modular stuff, it's also true that I don't have a module to bring the volume at human level  but I directly go from the VCA to the input :smoker:

I'm not at home now sorry but if you check the manual before the update list you have specs for every new MPC.

That makes sense for the driving gear, however since most people who use the MPC now, typically just render the audio and bypass it all together. They're also just importing digital files and bypassing the input as well.

TheDoctor wrote:Yeah I didn't notice anything weird about levels. But what you mean" it's just the size of them"?

The size of the visual meters are small. But with a 7 inch screen there's not much real estate, on the One or the Live to create realistic meters.

Nah, it's about standalone. The software is no bueno, pretend it does not exist.

:WTF: why use a standalone device? So they can say they're DAWless producer?

Oh yeah I see what you mean, you're absolutely right those meters are a joke. I don't know why they don't make at least the mixer like Force, that will be better.

I honestly don't even know how it looks like  seriously I probably saw it in few videos and Akai page.

:WTF: its not disk streaming for the actual Akai but the large plugin like Omnisphere that pull a lot of CPU within the Akai software! I don't worry about that cause l only use my MPC for drums. Im talking about it from my desk top and the major studio experience. I don't care if it happens or not, but l hope guys that want it get it! The MPC is not the center of my home stu, as long as it keeps a tight sequencer, Air effects and no glitches lm good.

Directly Disk streaming in 3 stages.
1. From memory, from the on board memory of an instrument ,
2. Ram of of the controller,
3. The hard drive of the controller.

DAWless using a hardward Daw. It's a different time, most people don't even know how to mic a cabinet, track drums. That's not an exaggeration.

Yeah, lets see if that feature gets moved over.

But that's a problem with your pc and Omnisphere with the MPC. Why don't you simply upgrade your pc and change DAW? But more important upgrade your pc.
An i7 9700 with 16gb of ram should be more than enough to run smoothly and that's not even a top line pc.

@CharlesRandolph thats what l do l explode and export.

But l also sound design drums in it too because l love the reverb tail it gives on the drums and layering. I have my methods to making some sweet drums and percussion and EFX

Are you actually reading my post or just reading what you want?

Dude l have no problems my computer and disk streaming is well and l don't use the MPC on my desk top. My computer is blown, lm good! Im talking in the aspect of others. I don't need to upgrade anymore. Did you get that?
16Gig Ram? Man l got way more ram than that.

If you import drums and export drums sounds. There is no A/D D/A going on. Personally, I don't see the point of physically sampling digital drums. It's not like these new MPC inputs and outputs have any special coloring.

The thing I don't understand is that I'm just 27, I had my first experience as a producer with a cracked early fl studio and I bought my first hardware years later but I know all that because be an ignorant feels bad. It's also true that I love little texture in music:tape, analog compressor, thr good stuff and I hate loops. So maybe I'm a modern expection

Yeah it will be nice

 I will actually download it, I have to feel the struggle haha

Of course the MPC don't color the sound but I prefer to directly record at 96khz when I use outboard gear, instead of go out, come back in the MPC and then export. I jump a step and I record at higher quality. Of course when I don't use outboard I simply export because it's silly record from my audio interface because I'll get the conversion and it will take longer for nothing.

I didn't get you were talking about others, chill and don't feel cool because you have huge RAM, it's just a stupid RAM.
The same question applies to others mate. I mean they seriously ask disk streaming for the software instead of upgrading their computer? And you even think they make sense?

 Im not looking for AD/DA Conversion just layering and adding effects. Some of those drums are on your site.
The convertors in the live/X are sweet.

Hell nah on thenew MPCs lol
