If you sample straight from the source to the 1/4 jacks does it sound better than if you were to sample from RCA jacks?

So you're going to bypass the fact, that a battery has not been placed on any other device, Akai Pro has made after the MPC LIVE?

They stole your car because you didn't install a kill switch to your......BATTERY! If this story is a true. How did you get home? Did the beat turn out any good? How did they get your car to work, when you said it stopped working? While sitting on the bench did you discover any cool workarounds?

Yeah I discovered that using Mpc with battery can also be dangerous.
The car was old, I have to thank the men who stole it so they give me some money and get rid of it.
I asked for a lift to go back home and I also made a new beat during that lift sitting just next to the driver with headphones on.
So now I have a mixed feeling about battery. They stole my car because of that but meanwhile I made two more tracks, one called Bench and the other Lift.[/quote]

As long as the DJ Mixer Phono Pre is better than, the one inside the MPC. From my usage, it is. It also allow for more control over the Turntable signal. EQ, Other Sources, Different Effects, Lower Noise floor, etc.

Your list of controllers, devices that are too big to be considered portable and devices cheaper than the Live? Yes, I'm going to bypass that fact.

Are you bypassing the English language?

Why? Everything on that list is portable, also the MPC X is only 12.57 lbs. Guitarist Lug around power amps and 9+ pounds guitars. Also, if it's cheaper, they could use a cheaper battery right, that draws less power.

Did not bypass the English language.

I just got rid of 100+ crates of records. Like you the majority of people download it and chop it. (Edit:) I also digitalized most of the stuff I wanted and I have a hard drive connected to the MPC ONE, just for that.

 :Sigh: :WTF:

The Live is less than half the weight of the MPC X, and - of course - has a battery making it truly portable. The X is portable like a guitar and amp, sure - as in you can lug it from one place to another, but it's pretty disingenuous to suggest it's the same. But we already know this, Charles.

But hey - the MPC One is a helluva lot more portable than the X, that's for sure! :-D

So you're suggesting an MPC X, at 12.57 pounds and no battery, is just as "portable" as an MPC Live at 5.5 pounds with battery? :hmmm: Just asking.

I mean, by that logic - all music gear is portable.

Yeah my broken car is portable.
Just call someone and pull it with another car.
And also a 48 track mixer of the 70s is portable, you can just use a big van to carry it everywhere you like.
So why not X?
Mr. lampdog and mr. Randolph argue that if you have a car and a healthy body, you can carry it everywhere but unfortunately it doesn't have a battery.
