Hey what the deal with people with multi accounts, talking to themselves. Has it always been like that? Also, The MPC One's auto sample works really well.

Multiple accounts? Huh? :hmmm:

That's good about the auto sample. Right now I'm into my Unify by Plugin Guru. He just updated it, this ish is off the chain!

Is that how you work?

Bezo wrote:AC doesn't make the car drive any better, it doesn't make one a better driver. It simply makes a person more comfortable while driving. It's very similar to the Live's battery in that way.

I never said, AC made the card drive better. I said

.I can see that, but power steering gives you more control over the car and AC allows for you not over heat in 110 degree weather.

Bezo wrote:It's not in the X because its inclusion is not based on importance. It's base on usefulness. Akai nor most X owners consider the X portable. That's what the Live is for.

Again the X is portable, it's 12 pounds. The same as the MPC 2000XL.

Bezo wrote:Controllers control other devices that likely need to be plugged in. No need to put batteries in them. Many of them are USB powered instead, which is useful for those devices.

This is true, so it's running off the power of plugged in device.

Bezo wrote:The way most folks use the word gimmick means exactly that, a novel feature that is not useful, there only to attract attention. Only folks that don't see the usefulness of it would call it a gimmick.

Again, I never said it wasn't useful. But it is a gimmick to sale more units.

Bezo wrote:Aside from you of course, who thinks EVERY device that attracts business is a gimmick. So according to you, EVERY PRODUCT made for profit is a gimmick. You might be alone on that one.

Again, I did not say that. I said, everything that is for sale has a gimmick. Everything.
C'mon bruh, you're all over the place.

Yes, I've used the Live in 2 of those scenarios.

I know what you said about AC. I'm comparing that back to what you said about the Live. Paraphrasing, you said a battery doesn't help a person make better music. I'm saying AC doesn't make a person drive better. AC is not a gimmick, neither is the Live's battery.

The X is not portable according to most, despite it's weight. You're comparing to a 20 year old device. Try comparing to the one we're actually talking about. The X is 4X heavier and almost 3X the size of the Live.

Do we agree that batteries in controllers make no sense? I can't tell with you.

I know you didn't say it wasn't useful. But your definition of gimmick includes ALL features of every product made for profit. "a trick or device used to attract business or attention a marketing gimmick". Said another way, every device used to attract business a gimmick. You may be the only one using gimmick that way. Everyone else is talking about tricks and novelties used to attract business.

Battery is not a gimmick, but companies use talking points and some of those points come off as
gimmicky, it sells, these talking points stick in people's brains. Again, battery is not a gimmick, some marketing points make it sound that way.

Same thing can be said about lots of gear that has been hyped, talked up, not everything is a gimmick marketing hypes up some of the normal things and it comes off as gimmicky.

I understand that and I see your point. However, I don't like to assume, because you did not say it.

I also compared it to a modern +9 pound guitar and 25 pound amp that guitarist take on gigs. There's also the Roland Fantom 6 keyboard which is portable and it weights 33 pounds. Let's not talk about the drummer and a bass player with that head and speaker. So buy those basic standards, the MPC X at 12 pounds is very much so portable.

Bezo wrote:Do we agree that batteries in controllers make no sense? I can't tell with you.

It all Depends on which controller, because there are controller that run on batteries.

You consider the battery a feature and I consider it a gimmick. Correction, a marketing gimmick, used to sale people, the fantasy that they can making music anywhere. It's not me, Akai Pro are the one's who market it that way. Portable Powerhouse, 8 Hours of battery life, Music on the Go.

Powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, Standalone? Check. Battery powered? Check. Contains massive amounts of internal storage? Check. Your creative flow now knows no borders and bounds.

You're certainly entitled to your own opinion, no matter how bad it is.

Not sure why you felt the need to start an entire new thread asking people even more about the Live's battery when you know (from the majority smearing your opinion all over this thread) how people feel about it. Is it to try and save face?

Don't we have something better to do instead of discussing about the exact meaning of an english word?
For example, mr. charles you have a One now, isn't it?
How does it exactly differ from Live in any technical aspect?
I read you cannot transfer datas through usb and there is no ableton integration on One.
Any other meaningful differences?

He's having fun, it's his way of having fun on the people and he has the protection of the moderator.
Just take it as it is, it's funny.
Laugh about it.

I'm actually pretty shocked that you can't transfer data over USB on the One. That just seems like Akai going too far, IMHO.
