Makes sense for your needs, but why would you assume other users don't feel the missing features you lose when stepping down from a Live aren't crippling? Serious question. You just seem to think everyone should feel the same as you do, and it's concerning.

Answer: Perhaps, that's your interpretation of what I've said and that's your right to do so. I don't have control over what someone else thinks or how they feel about me. I don't lick boots, shine shoes, do a jig, kiss the ring, or kiss @$$. I also don't expect people, to feel the same as I do. If we agree, cool. If we don't, now we have something to discuss. (Constructively.)

The problem, with many people, is they're trying to prove something. Look at all my gear, look at this and look at that. I'm about mastery of the gear. There are some people on this board, whose mastered and continue to push their craft, there are some people, who are lazy and need to put in the work, there are some people who are good and need to put in more work.

Now, as far as the MPC ONE. It's a good device. I've patched into my system, which means it has a home. However, if it decides to act up, it will replace it.

I think this gets taken out of context on the internet a lot, not just here, but the internet at large.

This is a gear specific community - we are all here because of some sort of attraction to the MPC platform(s), we are thus more passionate about it than - at least in my case people that we personally know. So when people post what they have (again not even talking just here) - its not necessarily to prove something, its because they think they found a group of people who actually appreciate what it is. I purposely avoid posting my setup because I don't want to give off the vibe you mentioned, but please believe, there are times I want to (not just here), just because there are people who would understand what I've done to get to where I am, or notice things that I've done to solve problem(s), etc. When I say Mix-400, most people here know EXACTLY what I am talking about while my wife will give me the "What you talkin bout Willis" look.

CharlesRandolph wrote:Like, why are your speakers in the corner? Why is your visual monitor in front of your studio monitors? Why do you have those big @$$ speakers, in a 10 ft x 10 ft room. Why are your speakers at different height? And my favorite, why did you buy a MAC, and then complain about how the update broke your setup?

In a corner cause that’s just where I wanted them to be, no real reason.
Big ass speakers in a 10x10 room cause it’s what I wanted.
PC, no mac. Speakers same height. I’m not as serious as everybody, don’t do music for a living and generally give a phuck less what people “think” I should do with my gear.

A friend told me irt to his gear, “I want it until I don’t want it”.

I understand it.

I can agree to this. I did show my home studio, it's really scaled down, I just wanted to share. No way was it to show off, cause I have seen people studios here that looks way better than mine. But Me I like it compact and simple, I can get the big sound without all the hardware and bells and whistles. I love my MPC Live if I do something I will share. I got what I have to please me and help me with my productions. :-D

I was waiting for the Pros and Cons from someone who is familiar with the One. Interesting machine, I love the look of it.

The difference is you're not online trying to flex your gear. I've seen people trying to box with god with 18 inch speakers in 10 x 10 room. Every word out their mouth is I. I bought this, I have this, I want this, I did this. Gluttony, Pride, Envy. The kicker is they've been doing music for 5 years and don't know how to use any of it.

Talking about gear, showing one's workplace, and how they use it is very different. Then showing off, trying to impress, or tear down others.

As someone who bought it, for what it is. The only con I see thus far, is not being able to see, the sd card or usb attached device while in controller or standalone. I don't use Ableton, so Ableton control is not something that will be missed. Perhaps for someone who uses Ableton, it would be.

If you transfer audio, edit, add effects, and render stems. That workflow is the same across the board.
