Thanks. A couple of quick questions: by reboot do you mean powering off and then on again? Also, would you mind sharing with me what the resolution was when you had your issues?
Mannyj24: Sorry for the late reply. I haven't been on the forums in almost a week. Regarding my stability issues: I've had them on my MPC X just trying to play the 13 demo songs and other demo sequences from the DLC we get on the Akai website under our account when we register the unit. I've yet to work on my own tracks/MPC Bible tutorials since I don't feel confident in the stability of the unit. After going back and forth trying to troubleshoot the issue since December I've finally given up and Akai Support is going to send me a new unit and have me send the defective unit back.
Some of the issues I'd have while playing the demo songs/sequences:
1) Sound would stop playing and the sequencer would stop in mid song (i.e. bar 24 out of 32 for the song).
2) The volume LEDs in the upper right would be stuck at the level of the crash (i.e. usually near the upper yellow/red area (-12 to -6 to 0 db).
3) When trying to play drum pads with sounds loaded to them from the demo songs some would play, then suddenly no drum pads would produce sound.
4) When browsing my sample folders from my collection or the DLC and trying to Audition samples no sound would be produced.
All of these issues would occur randomly and inconsistently. Sometimes occurring after just loading and playing 1-3 songs, sometimes not until 13 or more demo sequences were loaded. Powering off and on the unit would resolve the issue until it happened again.
