Can the MPC 400 be hooked up to a VGA Monitor. I know this was an option on the 3000 but wasnt sure about the 4000.

No, there is no such connection offered. However, if you have a PC (or Mac) you can utilize AKsys, which allows you to do lots of the editing and sample prep on the PC.

Could the 3ooo? Really? Are you sure you are not thinking of the DSP3216 (whatever) hard disk recorder that AKAI made?

Oh yea, so it does - that's rather odd, Turnkey are usually quite reliable. Well, my 4ooo definatly has no VGA output on the back and there is no expansion board listed in the manual to such an effect.

The vga out on the 3 thousand simply give you the option to see exactly what you can already see on the 3k screen. Nothing more nothing less. Not very necessary and not nearly as useful as Ak.sys
