Reason Studios 11.2 is Now Out!

Reason has a new midi and cv out device. I wonder if we can send cv message back and forth with MPC X and MPC One in controller mode.

Danoc, how do you like the new reason? I believe you were very hyped on it before it landed, does it live up to the expectations?

MPC X only does CV out... it doesn't do CV in. You'd need something to convert MIDI Out to CV, then CV back in... which sounds... awkward.

Still CV out *might* do something for you... but I imagine Midi is the better option.

Reason 11.2 is dope!

You now have midi out this just dropped today. You can drag and drop midi to a track from Redrum etc then you can randomize the patterns. OMG! Whoever bought those 3rd party randomizer plugins and own Reason are going to be pissed!!!

Something tolf me to wait, now with randomizing is going to be sick! Especially with percussion.

Questions:

1. Is there a physical device made by Reason Studios that you can connect CV ports, or is this more like a software feature where you can use existing devices like ES-8 by Expert Sleepers or MOTU’s 8A?

2. Does this new CV function apply to the studio rack plugin or are you stuck with only using the Reason DAW?

3. Did we finally get VSTs in the rack?

You'll want something like MOTU or Expert Sleepers to import/export CV... yeah baby

@ freshbreath, haven't seen the VSTis in the Reason Rack.
I didn't wait around. I bought Pluginguru's UNIFY! You can layer as many VSTis as your computer can take plus Pluginguru's internal sounds. Its a beast. Im bout to upload a vid l did. Yiu can even load Reason Rack in it. Your own effects and his you can layer. $59. If you plan on getting it get it quickly its going to go to $79

I've been using Kushview Element for the past year and it's worked out great for me. Unify seems like a similar application but with a GUI, thanks for putting me on to this new app it looks really cool...
