Has anyone ever added [a little] time stretch to a kick or a snare??

u can do it. just stretch it as 1 beat. i usally chop up breaks that i timestretched so i got the shit allready at the right bpms.

Yes..... I sometimes tighten up sounds by shortening them a little with time stretch, or make cymbals longer.

I think it definatly helps stretching the hit, as far as getting it to sound like it is actually part of the beat. If you have multiple hits all at diff. speeds they won't sound as uniform.

I don't sample a break all the time and then chop it up. Sometimes I'll sample out all of my drum sounds to create a kit from various places, and to make that sound as good as I can I'll line them all up(as best as possible) by time stretching.

At the same time it's all situational. You know if it sounds right or not.
