Sadly my MPC60 Play Start button has become extremely loose, and sometimes gets stuck. This is such an important machine to me, that I'm really worried about opening it up, and I'm not sure if it's just the button or the actual push button piece. I'm guessing that piece is soldered in and would require me to take apart the whole thing.
Has anyone repaired this or other buttons on the 60? Would it be an easy replacement if I got the parts from MPCStuff or should I take this to a tech? I have only 1 tech I trust with this but he's in another state and it would mean months away from my 60 which is my studio centerpiece.

If you are comfortable with a screwdriver... pop it open and take some pictures... unless you are clumsy and impatient you are unlikely to cause additional damage... just remember to unplug it before you open it... don’t want to zap yourself or short it out.

If you are not handy or experienced with a soldering iron I would suggest getting your tech involved if it is beyond a broken plastic button... but you won’t know until you pop the top
