Are you using reason strictly for production and Studio One for recording?

I use Reason for Production and mixing. S1V4 for mastering and sound design and the start of production some times.

Yes, the new MIDI Out device allows you to slave the MPC (but this was possible before using the External MIDI Instrument in Reason standalone). But now you can do it inside of Reason Rack Plugin VST inside of any DAW.

Sell the MPC LIVE before your battery capacity, decreases to 30% in the next year. Ooh but then you won't be able to make music, while shopping at the grocery store. That's my favorite part, I usually spend like $500 on food. :lol:

I'll buy your MPC LIVE for 250 dollars.

"Sell the MPC LIVE before your battery capacity, decreases to 30%"

When the battery goes you simply plug it in and it becomes Touch mkII, still more capable than the One! :) :)

Depends on how they use it. If they're just rendering stems then it won't matter. If they just need 1 midi out/in then it won't matter.

I have the ability to push 16 different external MIDI device with 16 channel for each. So I'm not really concerned about 2 midi out and 2 midi in and the 4 extra audio out for me, would not be used. :lol:

I really think that there are a lot of users out there who would benefit more from the one than the x than vice versa.in fact, I figured I could get away with my work flow with just a one. Just depends on how much work you want to do on the mpc itself. Mpc x can multi track, live gives you more outputs and a little more mobility, one is the streamlined core of the system. I’d honestly jump ship because with a mixer I don’t need to track into the mpc anymore. BUT I do like having the option of extra outputs, I have a lot of hardware effects and configure stuff all types of ways. I think it’s a matter of finding our own personal “Goldilocks” zone for the new Mpcs.

The one is cheaper than some controllers out there and you can render right on it. Put that memory card into your car and never even have to turn on a computer to hear your beats.

Edit: maybe for your danoc, but remember everyone has a different workflow. The most productive I have been mak8ng beats was when I just rendered from the mpc to listen to my beats in the car... now I try to do things proper but I procrastinate. But I’m a hobbyist

When I track out, I do everything in one pass. So if one song is 5 minutes, it takes 5 minutes 20 second.

@CHARLES, I export in a matter of seconds :-D

@Cockdiesel, if there is one thing I know and I have even said it, that everyone has their own work flow. I was playing around with Charles when I said that. :smoker:
