Do you mean in terms of “loudness” or variation of new elements?

It has a good build up. (Intro with Vocals), Then the triple snares. (Ready for the next level), Instead of Blasting off into space, The music goes is flat. When those drums come in, they're suppose to blast off. Make me break my neck or want to run through a brick wall. But those drums are being swallowed up and doesn't add to the excitement of the track.

For the type of track it is, I emotionally expect the drums to dominate. You have the elements, but the mix needs work.

Ok, I get what you mean and agree. SO I could maybe do two parts to improve that:
a) More variation on the drums (e.g. more percussion rhythm)

b) Make the drums cut through the mix
Here is where I struggle a bit. I`ve tried to make the kick come out better by clearing the 20-60hz on all other channels, to be reserved for the kick. Any other idea?

Thanks again, the feedback is really appreciated!

Try muting everything except the drums. Get the drums to a nice level and slowly bring up each sound. Work on panning some of the instruments away from the middle. Don't worry about cutting frequency, just get a good, dynamic dry mix. Focus on space, feel, emotion and less on number and what looks right.

Keep in mind:

- It's music, so we use are ears not our eyes to listen.
- Adding more drums will not help.
- Cutting at 20hz to 60hz is not going to allow the kick to cut through, unless it's a sub.
- Keep it as SIMPLE as possible.

Agree about working on variations. Mute tracks, pads don’t really need to add much.

You can always use silence to help with a “drop” build it up, give it s mall amount of space and drop the drums in slamming.

Charles did a good explanation of the vibe I was getting. Not to say your beat was wack or anything. Constructive criticism. Hopefully I’ll have something for y’all to criticize the s hit out of in a few days here.

I took all of your feedback and rebalanced the mix and mastered it. Happy to hear your feedback :-D

It's has a much better feel then the first version and the spacing is better. The drums are puncher, those hard panned strings, could be a little lower and cutting some of the Mid Low in the bass, it will help clear up space for a vocalist. But overall it's a much better mix, keep it up and keep improving.

Try listening at lower level, then you'll hear how those hard panned strings are up in the mix.
