Nice video Masada, looks like it was a great trip and just goes to show that music is a worldwide pleasure. Your videos were a significant influence on me buying the MPC X. Keep doing you sir.

It's all good sir... Some folks post looking for clap back. That isn't me. But I can see how my comment could be viewed as a shot at Masada. I also feel like we both dislike the same things about Akai and the new MPCs.

The joints are a huge leap forward, but in that leap a bunch of sh!t got left behind. Akai and their incomplete OS disappointments
appear to be a thing of the past, but I still don't trust their vision for the stand alone development. Time will tell.

BUT the Live is a monster tool. Best interface and workflow for chopping ever, period. Hard to believe you have held out so long.

@Lamp is the screen responding to your liking on that borrowed Live? Do you feel it lags under your finger tips?

Lamp check out the rendering functions in song mode. That’s where the live really shines for me.

Well l tried to install 2.7 and it won't take. Keeps telling me the USB device us not detectable (MPC live). My MPC stood in update mode like normal. Tried 10 times. I will try tomorrow. If it don't take lm going to leave it at 2.6 untill the next update. This never happened before. So we will see.

Maybe you left the old update on the usb also and it’s causing a conflict?

Nah cause l put both updates on the desktop then l install, plus the old update are not on the usb. You don't have to uninstall an old version it will get over written by the new version.

I had no problem installing the software only the firmware.

Try hooking it up direct to your computer via the USB cable. worked for me (macbook pro).

That's what l did. You have to use the USB blue cable that comes the live. I have a laptop and this is the first time it nrver worked.

Ah sorry, my bad. I interpretated like you were using a USB stick.

Then the only other thing i can think of is to do it with another laptop/computer, if possible for you?

I have another laptop but its a chromebook and its not for music. I will try again. Might be the blue cord. No worries l will keep it on 2.6. Its not stopping me from making music.
