Native Instruments discontinuing software?

OMG! They are going to another level. What does dat mean for Akai? And there is a long list! Whew!

All the software on the list is ages old. Some of it 15+ years old. Akai and NI are not affiliated.

We know they aren't affiliated.

NI is basically going to make a DAW inside their Maschine. This is what some of us asked for in the MPCs. I wonder will this effect akai.

Has NI made an announcement for a Mashine MK4? The current MK3 hardware cannot support running as a standalone device. I am curious, as most NI projects, (outside of software), are dead in the water.

I'm not going to say never, but NI doesn't inspire or excite me. To be perfectly honest, I don't trust or like them as a brand anymore. They lied about building an ecosystem with Traktor since Maschine 1.7, now they are discontinuing Traktor. This is why most of my NI products are sitting in their boxes. I'm sure another Maschine expansion will be released in 5, 4, 3, 2....
