Some questions on audio recording.. please help

1) I want to record an audio clip (4 bars) inside the Akai Force using my Moog synth. I connected the Moog to the two inputs 1 and 2 (it is stereo) but when I try to record, it does not record anything. I think I need a walkthrough or a guide as the manual is not clear, or I am distracted;
2) when I turn on the force I already have an AUDIO clip on the scene but I cannot go to advanced mode to set the audio monitoring ON, so I have to make another track... weird
3) can I have an empty scene without any track? The Force always starts with a plugin track and an audio track and I do not need Plugin track for my project and cannot delete it;
3) the result I want to reach is to have some audio clips recorded with my synths and launch them from the pad... I know it is possible but I am really thinking that I made a wrong buy here... frustration 100%

To delete tracks, hold the delete button and choose the track button at the bottom of the Force.

To sample direct audio, hit the menu button. Then click on sampler.

You can also utilize autosampler to record multiple notes and play them as a keygroup.

so is that the only way to record audio? how can I put the samples into the clip then?

When I get back to my studio, i'll do a step-by-step.

For now, make sure the obvious things are dealt with - volume up on the Moog, cables are working, arm the tracks before recording.

I noticed that you really need to press the REC button up top and ALSO arm the track/clip you are going to record to.

Make sure the MOOG input is set to stereo - you don't record on two tracks like a normal DAW. The clip can be mono or stereo - you set that in the SETUP for that input.

I'll create a tutorial when I get back to my studio.

So weird happenings are afoot.

I created a new audio track.

I got my M3 ready with a string preset - nothing fancy.

It seems you have to use the Looper to record audio - I just could not use any other section to record audio from my M3.

I was able to monitor and hear the M3, so I know it's plugged in properly.

Here is where it gets weird:

I recorded a 8 bar loop. It sounded great. I EXPORTED it to the audio track (1st button) I set up for it.

It did not sync at all - it was sped up and wrong.

I went back to the GRID and then chose the CLIP EDIT screen and it shows 6 bars, not 8. I can find no way to stretch it back to 8 bars.

What did I do wrong that it recorded so fast? I assume the tempo of the project is the tempo for everything. Did I assume incorrectly?

How do I see the tempo of the project anyway?

How do I record physical audio such that it syncs to the Hype synth tracks, loops, etc?

Thanks - thought this was going to be pretty straight forward. Nope.

So I fixed the problem.

In grid mode, I noticed the arrow icon and then WARP lit up. I pressed WARP and it kind of fixed the problem.

There is a noticeable click at the end since it does not really crossfade and I set a fade-out value of 8 but it does not seem to do anything.

Is there a way to crossfade the sample/loop for a nice, clean result?

Otherwise, it is in sync now and works. The BPM detected it was at 96.8 - weird since the project is at the default 128 BPM.

Will have to figure that one out for myself I guess.
