Yep, undo works me for me just like that.

Just an idea in general. You think they can (and should) improve the grid edit mode? Or at least the workflow? I find it darn pretty unusefull and slow because of the zoom in/zoom out/selecting to really get what you want in a considerable amount of time. And i have little girl's finger even! :(

Yup, and the MPC doesn't generate audio, you have to put the audio in yourself. Totally different :smoker:

The sampler mode is where you put audio in, and loading samples.

But since a few versions ago we have built-in SYNTHS. And those generate audio.

"I May Be Wrong Tho  "

Oh man Grid Mode is a headache hah. The Q Links help me alot get around it. I use that to zoom in/out, move the playhead, etc. That damn playhead and screen scrolling needs to move alot faster though. Its great when you're working on a 2-4 bar loop, but when I have a song bounced to a sequence, and I want to see something in the middle of it, its a nightmare getting there.

I bought a cheap $20 capacitive stylus off Amazon a few weeks ago that makes Grid Edit totally workable finally. The stylus is kind of awkward to use for anything else (my big fingers are still quicker in main/program/sample/etc mode) but for the Grid Editor its a life saver!

I would totally dig mouse action. Its too bad they didn't hook up the built in HDMI so we could throw that shit on a 50" monitor and use a mouse and keyboard heh. Forget using their MPC software then!

 yep you're right. Exactly. I hope they thunk about that. We wouldn't need software. If the screen was like the 2500 guve us HDMI and mouse we could go!!!

Never to early to speculate, since after all it is just that, speculation.

JeriKo Jackson wrote:Multitimbral Input (2+ years)

Legato mode for next sequence mode

YES!

And MIDI multi-mode is going on 3 years, even. The thread on the Akai community site, by "Dr. ROX" shows over three years. But yes, I have waited some two years for it too. :)

I really don't think it's too much to ask for a field on the edit screen to be able to override the default pad mapping too, that should be a relatively simple add-on to the already existing screen. The MPC is already using the information, since one can import a program from the software (from the OTHER computer) and it works, we just need to be able to do it on-the-fly.

JeriKo Jackson wrote:There are a host of other enhancements that could be made to GUI and improvments to each of the modes. My top 3 are basic to MPC lineage. Akai has yet to address them and, to my knowledge ,
no one knows why.

Maybe 2.8

I agree, and hopefully the 1-to-1 track implementation that Akai mentioned might enhance that AND add a tempo track to that? That would be very sweet.

I would love a 90 pad MPC, with the drums pads the size on the MPC ONE. Easier to play full chords, inversion, scales, and no more bank switching.

Purchase 6 Korg Pad Controls, plug them into the MPC One/Live/X using USB hubs. Set to different Octaves. Good to go.

No, but We have had two Launchpads and a keyboard hooked up to an MPC Live with a single USB hub, so it will work.
