does the MPC live support MIDI over USB ? MIDI OUT → IK UNO DRUM

I know this sounds stupid but i'm old school & have only used traditional MIDI ports until this point. I am exploring a new sound & just got a IK UNO DRUM for the quirkly analog sounds/UNO hiss.

I feel a lot of its shortcomings can be overcome with the MPC's pads/sequencing & FX/resampling. Unfortunately, this unit does not come with real MIDI ports. I figured I would try MIDI over USB for the 1st time ever [all my other gear has real MIDI ports even my noisy volca keys]. Can I get MIDI out from the USB port to the UNO drum ?

I selected a MIDI program & only see 2 options:
midi out a
midi out b
I chose OUT A / midi channel 10 but am getting no sounds.

From what I know, the MPC LIVE does not send MIDI over USB in Stand alone. How does the 2.5mm mini-jack to MIDI DIN cables work for you?

Side note:
I can't stand that they chose, 2.5mm over the standard 3.5 mm. The 2.5 mm are always double the price.

Yeah, I don't think it's changed, because there's no way to select the USB ports to send midi.

Yeah, it's odd for it not to be an option, but personally I prefer the 5 DIN it just works and no need for extra drivers and all the class compliant protocol. I just want more direct MIDI outs. Give me 8 so I can get rid of these MIDI patch bays.

While I like the UNO machine, the main reason I held back on getting it was b/c of the dinky MIDI ports and the single 1/8 audio output. That being said, I still like it better than the volca beats with its dinky knobs. I particularly like saving kits vs patterns, u get some interesting unexpected combos. Furthermore, I find it a pleasant departure from the roland 808 sound that every1 is jocking. Instead of complaining, I will just keep plenty MIDI adapters around for the UNO drum ;-(

Sincere thanks Charles !!!! the users on this forum are the best. The MPC has its imperfections/shortcoming like any other hardware but the MPC userbase is SUPREME CLIENTELE.

this MIDI over USB thing has its appeal but I prefer OG MIDI per Dave Smith & associates. IT JUST WORKS . . . . .

That reverb links says 3.5mm, so I’m just gonna get them from IK UNO for $20. I think I need 2.5mm
