Support and discussion for all of Akai’s modern standalone MPCs including the MPC X / X SE, MPC Live 1, 2 & 3, MPC One / One+, MPC Key 37/61.

I am finishing up an illustration of the live - because quarantine  Only thing I would like to change are the fonts I don't know which ones Akai uses on the screen and on the Live itself (they are not responding), but I tried using similar ones. Maybe anyone knows?

I want to make this available as a print - which platform would you recommend? Society6, Printful etc.

Any feedback is appreciated.

I would not print that image, without permission from Akai Pro. That could be an infringement of their typeface/font, logo, art design, trademark, copyright.

Thanks. I'm trying to get a hold of them to hear what they say.

Like most companies, they may not accept unsolicited ideas. Maybe find out who their Graphic Design firm is and go through those channels.

The best way to is use element of the design, but create an original piece of art. That way it can be used without permission.

But they're crooks and aren't trying to be legitimate. If a person is creative, then be inspired and don't plagiarize. However, not everyone holds those same professional ethics. It always comes out in the wash.

The pressing plants are the biggest bootleggers. Why would they risk it being apart of the EU and the EU is apart of the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. That's how foreign companies are getting shut down.

Charles is right on this one.

You call this an "illustration" but this is the least creative thing you could do. Charles is being nice, but that "illustration" is wack.
But, hey, people buy wack stuff all the time. Good luck.

Yeah I call it an illustration because it is?? How about some proper feedback and elaborate. Give me something useful. Calling something wack has never been helpful for anyone.

Nice work if you're trying to practice working on a graphics program, but why bother reinventing the wheel? Akai already has Hi-Res images of the MPC X and other gear in the line on their website. Just take one of those and print out a poster.
