Recommended SD cards for MPC One

Hi, I just got an MPC One and I want to use it as standalone as possible.

I was wondering whether you have recommendations about SD cards, especially in terms of GBs. Is more just better or is there some kind of performance / reliability risk in the bigger ones?

Between a USB drive or a SD card, I'm leaning toward the later basically to insert it and keep it there as a pseudo internal hard drive. Or do USB drives have a special advantage?

Please forgive me if these are too silly questions. It has been years since the last time I had to buy external storage for anything. :wink:

Not silly its a valid question. I use USB, formatted in the Live to exFat and it works. I use to use a Sand disk SD card. It worked ok 32 gig. I just prefer a solid USB stick.

I picked up a 128gB SanDisk SD and it works fine. Had an older 64GB card that works as well but the speed is very slow.

Whatever you choose, make certain that if you ever remove them from your MPC, that you eject them from within your MPC browser first or you will corrupt the storage medium. :wink:

The MPC1K taught me to stick with solid brands like sandisk. Losing projects to faulty storage led me to ditch my MV8000 & return to AKAI land.

Solid SD cards are so cheap nowadays, I fail to understand y APPLE refuses to allow them in their phones ;-)
