:Sigh: Not again.........

I went to Akai's site, nothing on 2.8. I did see Akai had to recall the Road 88 MPK keyboard.

_______________
The Force is 3.0.1. Someone maybe right Akai ay skip to 3.0. We have to see. Nothing on new releases talking about 3.0

Yeah that Road 88 recall was quick too - like a couple months after release. No attempt to replace, no attempt to fix. Just recall and return their money. Parts dump gone bad.

This is what I will say, the dude who made that post is very legit, and he's a top-level alpha/beta tester for Akai Pro. Once he screens it and gives his input, then the rest of us consumer-level beta testers on the Beta Team will get the next build. Masada knows who dude is.

As for my absence, I've been mixing for two clients and editing for another who all are being more aggressive than ever to get their projects done, so I'm basically working around the clock to make sure I get my paper and working on my own projects during my free time...

Why is this forum so negative always? Everyone acts like Akai is a giant scam. None of you leave and just make more complaints. I get somethings aren't working for some workflows but the machine does a lot, but some people are too zoomed in and are just looking for things that don't work and make that the reason they aren't successful.

I wish there was more talk about techniques and packs and fun stuff instead of acting we are in some sample famine.

Use something else if it's so bad.

because they have been many many times... it is actually more common for that to be the case than for them to "nail it" with a product.

And maybe you aren't aware, but akai has changed corporate hands a few times, some people have been on this forum for almost 20 years.... we are not all here for products that came out last week.

"That wasn't Akai who said that, hence my post to the OP above..."

I know it wasn't them, but they have said things like that in a few posts & vids recently. And I was just agreeing with the 'beta secret testing' comment.
And I think everyone comments
in hope someone will listen ( :-D good luck)
and will make the MPCs better...
Like the MPC is awesome... but who thought "it'd be REALLY awesome with a SPKR"!!!?
Fire them!

Mainly the lack of communication from the actual makers of the product drives this. When Dan Gill was actively posting updates there were still gripes and complaints, there were also a ton of positive post about the future of the line.

Now there is no communication outside of trade show videos. So there is always a chance that Akai is done (like what happened with the 1000 - 5000). The Force's biggest champion was let go due to the Pandemic... so that info chain is gone.

Don't let the negativity down you though . There are tons of tips embedded in this forum. Just participate and create a thread if you have stuff to share!!!! Someone posted a free vst tuner to check key of your samples, going to see if works in the mpc software without crashing!!

I'll be honest... if my MPC X never got another update again I'll probably still be using it for another 5+ years. Is it perfect? Nope... but I definitely know it well and can play to its strengths.

  Now Thats funny. I wouldn't mind if Akai killed the upgrading for a momemt. I know some won't agree with me on that.
I'd rather them chill and not catch C19 than to worry about my upgrade.

+1

Of course we’d be all in for anything that will make the product better but it’s very useable right now too.

What I don't understand, is why it's so hard to send out one update patch a month? It doesn't have to be a new feature at all. Just things that would stabilize the system. They need more bug submission and less feature request.
