MPC Live Normalizing LR of a stereo file individually

Hi there,
yesterday i got a mpc live and i really like it!
There`s one thing that i could not find in the mpc's menu and the manual.

It seems like it is not possible to normalize the left and right side of a stereo file individually.
I can't imagine that this feature does not exist on a machine that was released 2017 (and gets updates til today).
The emu ultra samplers from 1999 do have this feature and maybe even the non ultras from 1994 do have it.

Am i blind or is there really no possibility to do this?

What you can do this.

1. Put the same sample on two pads. Example PAD A01 and A02
2. Go to Program Edit > Master Tab
3. Pan A01 Pad hard right and pan A02 Pad hard left
4. Press A01 Pad and Go to Simultaneous Play tab
5. Place A02 there, (So when you press A01 it will play A02.)
6. Then adjust the volume levels of each pad until you have a level you like

This seems like a long process, however it takes 30 seconds at most once you have it down.

It seems like some of the old samplers are still quite ahead of their time

Yeah, it would be nice if they added this. Even having the ability to split stereo files would work. Then we can normalize each file, pan left and right, and layers. I like this options, because It gives me control each file. (EQ, Filters, Effects, etc)

I'm also surprised it doesn't have a normalize all batch function.

You could also do this:

1 Duplicate the sample in sample edit
2 in sample edit, convert both samples to mono (one to the left and one to the right)
3. Normalize both samples
4. In program mode, put both samples on one pad (both on a seperate layer)
5. Pan the right sample to right, pan the left sample to left.

I used to do it this way, until I realized the other way allowed for the same result, but I could also apply separate effects, filters settings, and others controls.
