I agree #3 will be hard, maybe a cool small USB MPC audio interface dongle. That makes the hardware act as if the software is open all the time. This is just a quarantine dream and watching Arduino midi videos insanity.

To be clear, this was *NEVER* advertised from the beginning. It appeared as a "hey we're looking into it" comment in passing at NAMM many years later, and mentioned at Gearslutz by Dan (Product Manager) some time ago who has since disappeared from public life.

you know what would be nice as well, if the touch screen feel had a bit of AI, or precision quantization... not sure exactly how to call or describe it.. it is like phones made us know how touch screens should feel and on the live it is super vanilla where you need to be dead on. it is the most noticeable when typing a name for something. it is like they threw in the touch screen but didn't do any polishing to the way it works. it could feel smoother.

For the MPC'S it all in the software. They really need to dial in the software, so there is less lag.

the fact that AKAI isn't communicating when the next MPC/Force update will drop, means it is a long way off

Well they're also kind of scrambling to recover amidst a pandemic, had to ramp down production of their money making boxes because of it, and actually laid off a bunch of staff including Nick who led the Force team so I dont think tweeting their development steps are a high priority now.

They dont really let us know until something is ready to come out anyways.

It was linked here in one of the many X / Live update / future requests threads. I’ve seen him me tioning it myself in that link, but said it would take a hellatov work and time.

It must have been a request then. Akai has never once promised disk streaming. Only that they're 'looking into it' time and time again, which means they probably cant do it and folks just need to learn how to use an MPC like an MPC already.
