I know this is home of sampled and chopped drums, but for those of us that are into Drum VIs, this could be something down the line. My 1st drum VI was BFD 1.5.

Read about that today. FXpansion hasn't updated BFD since 2013... 7 years ago. :WTF:  I suppose InMusic being the new owners means it'll probably get updated in the mid 2020's?

On a serious note, I wonder if that means InMusic also got all of their Expansion content for BFD?

Ha! Yeah, I'm curious where this will fall on the list of priorities.

I hope they got the expansions. The Jazz & Funk and 8 Bit expansions were good to me.

I hope this means they'll flesh out the software starting with support for multi-out instruments. Some velocity/cycle kit expansions would be cool too.

I've been offering cycle/velocity kit acoustic drum expansions since 2013 :)

https://www.mpc-samples.com/product.php ... it-bundle/

Would be cool if they introduce some extra DRUM program functionality to accomodate more advanced playback features (combining round robins and velocity switching would be fantastic, as would 127 layers per pad etc). I literally have tens of thousands of additional/spare samples from my previous acoustic drum recording sessions that couldn't be accommodated due to the current program restrictions.

That said, now that submixes are now available in standalone, I might use simultaneous play to implement separate controllable room mic samples, mirrored in other pad banks. Memory is the limiting factor though.

A bit disappointed I passed on it during your last sale. I'd have to reposition the pads for my preferred layout which sounds like a lot less work than setting up my own from VIs.

I'll grab it at some point for the variety and education. If you care to share, are there kit pieces or scenarios where you prefer cycle or velocity?
Or am I understanding the descriptions to mean that you provide velocity and cycle versions of each kit, not a mix?

Yes! Spending time this last week working on kits, combining cycle & velocity and additional layers are now my top requests.

And yeah, separate room samples would be tough on memory. Maybe once streaming is implemented. That would be sweet!
