Still giving other the chance to chime in. Also use your ears, don't use Software to analyze it.

P.S.
If you have not chopped that drum and created something, you're DEAD to me. Too remix quote @EYALC,

ANSWER:

1. The loop was not sampled on any MPC.
2. It's the same loop with different Volume Levels.
3. The first loop is slight off.

Please remember it's not a test of your abilities. My guess is 99 percent of people, could not tell. This particular test is a placebo effect test. Which is based off what we believe to be true. We thought it was an MPC 2000XL, 4000, MPC ONE, or 1000. Therefore it must be one of those MPC's.

It's strange how my mind can trick us into believing things, that aren't even there. Now someone did detect
the loop was slightly off, but only after looking at the wave file. Also someone did state, that it could be the same loop.

How many detected the difference in audio levels?
How many detected the off loop?
How many just guessed?
How many listened over headphone vs monitors?
How many thought, this does not sound like a MPC at all?

100%. This is why I don't buy into the notion of, this machine is warmer and has more punch. Warm = Rolled off High Frequency and Punch = More Mid Range.

Like your Getch Ya Hype track, it needs some EQ to remove the mud. However, if that is how you intended it to sound, then it's good.

I did it on a PO-33 in about 5-10 minutes. I just wanted to make sure I stepped to your challenge of using the sample... I was less concerned about it sounding 'good'. Yeah could use some work, but it's fun to wing it and see what sticks to the wall :P

That's the thing, I would've never guessed it was the P0-33.

Probably more to the point you're making... if you like it... do you even care what it was made on? Nobody is reproducing the crappy way I'm sampling on this thing... so it's not like having a PO-33 is getting "that sound".

It's all psychological, that's why marketing works. Build a BOX, put the PO 33 inside, name it SP600. Then boom! Instant classic!
