whats up guys I just got an mpc 60 and never had experience with a mpc or any other sampler for that matter. I have a vestax mixer and a technics tuntable and I wanna get this up and going allready.

Whats the way to connect all this? Since the mixer has rca jacks and the mpc has 1/4" jacks. I think there is only one 1/4" REC IN jack on the mpc 60 so I need to go from RCA left and right out of the mixer into that 1/4" plug into the mpc? And then.. stereo out left and right of the mpc (1/4") back into the mixer (RCA)? I am just wondering what cables I need basicly. I will be using the dj mixer for monitoring right now, until i get a mixing board thats why i want to go back into the dj mixer. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

you need a "Y" cable, a dual RCA to 1/4" mono cable for the mpc record in, this will sum both signals (crudely) into the mpc. If the mixer out you use has a pan control you can select either left or right in addition to both summed to sample from.

then you need rca to 1/4" (pair) to connect the mpc outs to your mixer ins if they are only RCA. Also, turn the switch to line on the mixer input for the MPC.

Good luck, you can cop these at most radio shacks.

thanks elmacaco... sounds good to me. hopefully they have the dual rca to 1/4" mono if not i'll get a regular dual rca and a y-adaptor that will do dual rca to mono 1/4" plug into the 60's record in, and the dual 1/4" to dual rca for the outs. thanks for the reply. peace bro...
