V panning in mpc live or mpc one

Hi there,

I'm trying to find a way to do a v pan, meaning pan a sound a little to the left and a little to the right. In a daw like studio one or logic I'd have the sound going to two different mix channels to do this. So far I can't find a way to split the signal of one sound to two mix channels.

Any one done this on the mpc live or one?

1. Split the Stereo file into two mono samples>
2. Go to program edit Layer them >
3. Then Press Pan Velocity to pan the layers to whatever degree you want.

Thanks! But I’m trying to do this to a key group program that I’ve already performed, is there no one for me to split the signal that’s going to the channel mixer into two channels?

Have you tried to make a copy of the keygroup but adding another layer with that panned?

guess if I make a duplicate of that track I can pan them separately that way. Would just have to do it post all performance. I’ll give that a shot.

I’m saying you can have up to 4 layers on a keygroup. It might be a pain in the butt to edit every key in program but maybe just do the range of keys you’re using
Or try what you described.

Edit the Keygroup and Bounce to Sample, then split the sample to right and left mono.

Maybe try copying the track, then pan each track. Only thing with this is you're stacking signal.


I'm sure there is more elegant way, we have not talked about. Perhaps someone else can chime in.

I'm gonna try the copying track method, when it comes to mixing, I don't want to have to layer every keygroup I'm using. That could take a long time.

Maybe send the program to a short delay and pan the delay?
