Aaaaaahhh and there it is:
" I THIS AND I THAT" You're talking about what YOU WANT! But you talked about what CharlesRandolph and myself wanted ... Man listen Akai doesn't belong to none of us. WE ALL SAY WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE! Maybe they will take a few of our ideas and uts go time.

Hell lm sick of itvall and wanna build my own dam machine for real.

For many or most it is. But not for me and maybe others. I get my computer involved as late as possible. Only for postproduction, or adding some extra sounds and synths. I also don't need that in the same box. If I had the space then I'd rather have a real synth and/ or keyboard for extra sounds. I lay down bass and a few other instruments in the MP with multi's, and sometimes replace them by other patches in Logic during postproduction. Don't need 256gb of ram, never run out of the 128mb inside the MPC. So disk streaming isn't a necessity for me either.

I am just saying with this that Akai can’t satisfy everyone because everyone has different needs, giving our difference in needs as example. There is this false expectation that these MPC’s are the solution to everything and to everybody, or that if they will add this or improve that everybody will be happy with it. And that’s just not the case. It’s ok to come here and dream about a perfect machine, or to complain about it. That’s what these boards are for. But keep in mind that it’s impossible to please everybody, so some people will just be disappointed with there X, Live or One because it never will be what they expected when they bought it, but keep saying to theirselves: ‘next update...’

I know everyone has different needs. If you do a powerful basic MPC it will ease the waters.

With the different needs that's why you have different gear :wink:

Thete are people who get off complaining and are not making music. They are complaining trolls.

UNREAL SAID:
"@Danoc - while I won't stick to that 256, that internal storage needs a massive upgrade, I'm sorry SD/microSD cards are too friggin cheap for us to only have a 16 gig card."

Im talking about UPGRADEABLE RAM! From 128 Gigs to 256 or higher. If we had an option to upgrade the SSD internal lm ok with that. And lm talking about a NEW MPC!

Concerning Omnisphere , if you read my comments l saud a SCALED DOWN VERSION OF IT. Basically the sounds of it the sonics also. Use the functions of the MPC. The sounds and sonics are impeccable. The other thing is that would be one hellava selling point being most producers have Omnisphere and hold it as the holy grail of synths.

Lets say Akai has one machine to make but have 1,000 people to take ideas from. Every last person has something totally different, what do you think Akai suppose to do?

No more saying well you want this and l what that and CharlesRandolph want this, lets see the thinkiing tanks be logical with common sense. WHAT WOULD YOU DO!

Its rhetorical question.

If I would be in Akai's development team today, I would probably take my lesson from this last generation of MPC's, and really think of the identity of this new machine, based on roughly the most requested features and really work with that (like the standalone feature that returned with these last machines). Do people want it to be more DAW like, or do people want to be more drummachine like? Do people want extensive sampling features, or are people more into synths nowadays when they work with the MP? A more focused, specialised machine.

But the board will then probably breath down my neck with concerns they won't sell enough units if it won't appeal to a broader audience. So at the end of the day I will probably break under the pressure and sell my soul to the devil and make the same mistake for the sake of company profits and sales targets that will be boosted with a huge promotion campaign. All the hot and upcoming producers on Youtube telling how hot it is and that this new machine will revolutionise the way they make music FOREVER!!! (that's is one Instagram story in Instagram time btw)

I probably hit rock bottom out of dirty guilt and the fact I betrayed my beliefs, start a drug and alcohol habit and will be fired just before the 'MPC Force Power Level Over 9000' will be released. And after a year of reading all the depressing complaints on this forum how Akai failed miserably again I will find my calling....I will write and develop my own OS for the MPC: KJOS. And my name will live forever as the Korean Jenius.....

The MPC line has a very clear brand and purpose.

Whether we like it or not, you just need to look at the history of what Akai has done over the last ten years.
* MPC Ren
* MPC Touch
* MPC Studio
* MPC X
* MPC Live
* MPC One

While I may not agree with some specific choices, I am personally super happy that Akai went away from controller only mode and took a very real and very big risk going back into the standalone market with the MPC line.
