How can I run a stream via Sampler into XYFX, live?

So, I’ve read your post, that’s something I haven’t tried yet, X
as an efx box, challenge accepted, used ipad’s headphone jack, got it working
on XY efx, took me 30secs to figure out.

Let’s play a game..

I took pics, connect the dots and see if you can get it poppin.

There was actually a few things I didnt do.

Though I learned a neat trick outta this...

So, I see it works only if the track is set to AUDIO, and Rec Armed, and Audio Monitor on. So it was like three things stopped me lol.

Little trick I noticed... If I dont have the Sampler monitor on, the XYFX will work on the input audio as is. But if I turn the Sampler monitor on, the XYFX still work but will overlay on top of the running audio input while it keeps playing. Pretty cool, actually - except it seems to lower the volume of the running audio when the XYFX are being held (im using Beat Repeat). Not sure why yet. Gonna play around with this.

I figured it was “AUDIO” because normally we are always on “MIDI” tracks with the pads right? Little stuff like that slips people’s mind sometimes.

And the overlay, I noticed that too, for sure it can be used in some type of creative way in the future.

Hopefully you cleaned up the brix you shat.

Sorry Im late to the game as far as updating what I found since 2.8.1 - which is, this "feature" or bug or **** is now gone. Having say my phone hooked into the sampler, the monitor "on" button is back to the way it was and I cant do live XYFX anymore on what I got coming into the sampler

I stayed with 2.8 and did not go to 2.8.1. So many forum heads have problems on 2.8.1, so no, I won’t go to it.

I’ve even thought about going back to 2.7 because slicing is a big deal for me. 2.8 slicig is horribly broken. Tutor and several others have confirmed it in another thread.
