Hi,
when previewing samples with the option sync on the files are not played in sync with the mpc. Any idea why this is?
Also I asked this before but noone could tell me. Is there a way to have my sequence running and cycling and record a track with mididata that is not cycling so that Ican have a 8 bar pattern playing on and on and on and just jam to it and later get the best bit of the recorded mididata (e.g. record 1 minute or so and later set start and end points to fit into the length of the sequence?

There is probably a better way(tm), but I'll just set a sequence to 64 or 128 bars and then jam out... copy/paste out the parts you like and then set the length to what works out for what you liked.

I wanted to ask this, and it's been mentioned here so...

How do I copy and past, on the grid?

And while I'm at it, is there a way to nudge otes quicker? If I'm on 64 bars and want the hit to be on bar 64, I have to turn that damn jog wheel for an age.

Nudge quicker?
Timing correct to 1/4, use jog wheel, it will move faster.
Use LOCATE and the associated buttons to move cursor to bars/events.

Copy/Paste on the grid?
Hold SHIFT while in grid view, notice the bottom of screen change, see COPY / PASTE?
Use the SELECT icon to highlight what you want to COPY. Move the cursor to the spot
you want to paste and paste it.

These things are in the manual.

:Sigh:

Ah thanks so much for that!

I really do try with the manual, and in normal circumstances I'd have a printed copy to refer to, however I have terrible dyslexia and reading the pdf on a screen is nigh on impossible - thank you for bearing with me on this one!
