I would like to use my mpc to sequence everything.
I have a keyboard... Triton....
I select a good sounding bass on my keyboard.
I play it on the keyboard and the sequence is recorded on the mpc.
No problems so far.

Lets say I do this to 16 tracks.. So I got pianos, horns, etc...
If I save the seq on the mpc to a disk...
Do I also have to save the program selections on the keyboard?

I dont want to have to save in two places.. Is this the case?
Meaning if I turn everything off.. load the mpc up and load the sequence, will it automatically select the right instruments on the keyboard or do I have to re-select them?
Please help......Thanks

on my 2kxl what I do is use the mp to select the program number for the keyboard when I use midi this way when I revisit and reload the saved file all info will return how I left off. Its pretty simple and it will save you disk in the long run.

Hope this helps you

To have it instant recall the settings, u need to practice sysex/midi dumping

The way Phatz describes is a method that will work but u will still have to reselect the settings on the triton and have the tracks named so u know what bank to u got a particular sound from

Very much true and I also left out a very important fact in this thread..................

I dont use a Triton. I use A Roland Xp80 (sometimes the 50 and the 10 as well) But good luck Maybe you can do a profile check and see who uses the Triton and ask them how they make it happen, but my boy Bravo is on the money with making a midi dump

Good Luck
