Hello!
I am beginner in audio and all technical knowlegde about it.

I just recently got a MPC-X - trying to detangle the wild jungle. So excuse my terms, they may be a bit home made.

I want to do samples with the Korg Kaossilator KO-1. I have recorded with vinyls, bass, microphone without much trouble.
But with the Kaossilator the sound input comes in very loud. It distorts the sound from the Kaossilator, and it goes all the way up, it goes red on the 'sound visual'.
I tried turned everything down, including the kaossilator, completely down. The sound is not changed, and still super loud.
I both tried with AUX and a adapter to connect to the mpc, also tried RCA cables. No difference.
Im afraid to break something, and also as said, it distorts the sound. Wahh D;

Can anyone help me, what am I missing here?

Kinds Regards.

Microphone, Phono, Instrument, Line, Modular, etc... all operate at different levels.

So what Lamp is asking... and is likely the problem... is that the KO-1 is a line level output, which is a much stronger signal than phono. This would likely explain why you've got the record player (presumably phono) working properly, but the KO-1 is too loud.
