The reliability of the MPC X scares me!!

I have a big problem ...
its done twice when i turn on the machine no button responds !! ?? all leads cont off ... there is only the tablet that works !! too bizzare ....
After five or six extinction and reignition all becomes normal ...

Frankly I love the MPCX But there I have doubts about the quality of the material (buy in September 2019)

I have my Mpc4000 since 2002 never had any problems!

Sorry to hear this. Probably your specific device has technical or hardware issue's. Best if you contact Akai directly about this!

I have an issue with mine as well, the QLink Oled displays have a weird behaviour.

This just shouldn't happen in a device at this price. 1900 euros !!! for christ sake !!!!
I've sent a mail to Akai about my issue.
And to be honest, i'm pretty worried about the quality of these X as well.
A friend of me has a 2000XL, he's got it since 10-15 years i don't know, & still works like a charm, he's been hammering the device & never had problems.
I know, a lot of you guys will say that it happens, in an industrial chain, some soldering or whatever process, might get faulty, but bloody hell, 2000 bucks more or less, half the price of my car !!!!!! I think, this just shouldn't happen.
On my side, it might just be a next update fix issue i think as it happens in STEP SEQ Mode only ... don't know.
I hope you'll get sorted soon.

I mean.. it's still hardware equipment. And it is possible that it is faulty or has issue's, no matter the price paid. I recall buying a brand new macbook, which Harddrive was faulty in a few months for instance. I'm sure there are faulty 2000XL's as well.

Just saying, paying a certain price doesn't guarantee anything.

Anyway, hope both of your problems get helped and serviced by Akai. Good luck!

Looks like a Hardware Issue. My X was doing some Weird things too when i got it. Every once in a while, when i hit Pad 10(kinda Hard), the Power would Cut Off & On. It was a Nightmare. I got tired of having the Auto Save Feature on, so one day I Cracked it open. And Disconnected and Re-seated all the Ribbon Cables in the Area of the Problem. Had to be VERY Careful because some the Ribbon Cables are Short, which only allowed me to open the Bottom Partially before disconnecting.

Not advising you to do the same, but Every since i did it, Never had a Problem Since!!!

In my new MPC One two times I had errors with software restart (loss of the entire project) and stopping randomly first or second knob in first 2 months
I hope the 2.8 update fixes this.

Sorry to hear that both of you have problems But as MPC One is a new unit and OP's MPC X was bought less than a year ago can't you guys just claim warranty and have your units replaced or repaired?
