Hi guys & girls, i have a weird behaviour of the Oled displays of all 16 Q-Links.
This happens ONLY in STEP SEQ Mode. ( Whatever parameter i choose to sequence )
I get a glitch on the 1st letter on all 16 Q-Link Oled displays.

It would be a faulty unit if it happened in every mode but these weird symbols only shows in STEP SEQ mode.
Thanks for your time.

Well that doesn't look right.

Hard to tell if that is hardware or software problem out of the gate.

Try flashing the firmware again? Try flashing to an older version?

I'd call/file a support ticket to Akai.

This first.

Load up demo project, go into step edit and look atound again.
Don’t load up anything of your own, check around in an all default state first.

Thanks for actually posting a picture, lot of times ppl ask for help but then disappear when they have to do something more than post a question on the forum :worthy:

I'd definitely try what guys above said first. Also there's firmware 2.8 coming in a week so that might be worth giving a try.

I'll definitely wait for 2.8 update, 1st to try this amazing midi new features & then it might also fix this issue.
Anyway, thanks for your help guys.

Since English is not my mother tongue, i prefer to send pictures to make myself as clear as possible
& to finish ... i don't want to send my X for any A.S.S as i use it every days & even more during this bloody quarantine.
If the glitch stays like this, it's not that bad, i might wait a little before to send it for repair.

Reset hardware.

Update to 2.6 (it’s stable for many people). Don’t load anything else, load trap demo and see what happens. Clear that out and load another demo and see what happens. Don’t just stop at one demo.

Bigger troubleshooting would be getting in touch with Akai for the IMAGE file.

If all that fails and problem persist you may need to send it in for repair.

Is it safe, for my added fix ssd , to reset the hardware ? kind of a factory reset ? It won't clean erase the drive ?
I might just wait for the 2.8 update, try & see, & then maybe downgrade to 2.6.

I wouldn’t suggest it if it wasn’t safe. I did it and my extra hdd is fine.

kind of a factory reset ?
Yes. Use 2.6 USB stick download method on akai pro site.

No, it doesn’t erase your extra drive.

You could do this in 10 minutes. You don’t need to wait.
