I'm on the second layer of fluorescent orange and then the coating.

It had some scuffs here and there, but the worst part was that the rubber was getting sticky, like if some drunk spilled beer on it , though that wasn't the case
I used alcohol and cottonballs to rub it off. Couple of sessions. The black plastic underneath was not a very pretty plastic, and was shinny, so I primed it and spray painted it.

Thats pretty rad looking.. I kinda wanna strip mine now and paint it Kawasaki Ninja Green. Just saw a 4K in that bright green the other day and it looked so awesome hehe.

So the heat, air moisture, and dust got to it? I wonder why they chose that type of rubber coating. Are you going to add the button and pad number decals?

Prison jumpsuit Orange / Safety Orange, depending on who you are in life, is one of my favorite colors.

He should put an OSHA logo on the side and his Akai Pro Inmate Number 82345-678.

No labels, I want a minimalistic look to it.

Would love to see some more customized MPC live pics posted here! I'm curious about the silver skin mpcstuff sells. All I ever see online is the white/Oreo cookie make over.

What was wrong with your 1k? I've still got mine, been in backpacks, torn it apart to upgrade/fix stuff... I always thought it was quite serviceable and besides the pads needing an upgrade, was really a pretty decent system hardware wise. Maybe I just got lucky though.

Got a minute?
- Faulty pads. Did the upgrade of 200$ + and still they sucked
- Screen turned brighter out of it self
- A lot of buttons not working or responding anymore (or by pressing them super hard or multiple times)
- Q link sliders died within a year

The only good thing about the 1000 for me was the JJ os. That's why i kept it so long.

Dude, that looks rad. Reminds me of an old Chevy color called Poppy Red.

That looks fuk’n sweet - nice job! Certainly not “heat, humidity, or moisture” that caused your initial issue. Just a crappy product finish from production. Happened to my Nektar Panorama P4, and it’s kept in a humidity controlled properly cooled studio.
