have you tried using hardware fxs with you mpc and if so how do you record the signal?

I use my MPC Live in standalone with its built-in effects only. If you want to use external hardware effects with it, use a proper mixer so you can have sends, otherwise you’ll have to treat them as inserts between your MPC input and your hardware effect. Charlie is right that there’s no delay compensation, but they may or may not be as issue.

If you using hardware in standalone, pass through signal, and print to an audio track or any recording source.

If using software, the MPC (Software) needs Delay Compensation or tracking will be a mess.

send all fx returns to separate outs on the route page, split up all tracks like that up to 32 for live recording of session to daw in realtime

This is what bugs me about the mother ducker too. I was using it a lot but had a batch of beats I stemmed out to sell and noticed you cant explode stems during export and have the effect printed.

Haven’t used it since

That's exactly what I'm trying to do. But nobody understood besides Charles and you what I was trying to do. I don't think they realize you can't record the hardware effect sends with the combination of dry/wet signal. There's no real time record in the software. And you can't resample using audio tracks.

Unless there's something I'm missing.

Which is why I'm asking on this thread.

ive found with explode/export option i didnt get what i was hearing or supposed to get, since then i only track out in realtime to my daw, most pads to own output/daw track and sends printed too, i can start stop the sequencer, finger drum etc, do all the stuff you cant really sequence in the mpc and record it live same as how i would perfom it, i use akai midi mix for track levels and sends/macro knobs, its a song before it gets to the daw, i use reaper and rearoute but soundflower works for mac users, its totally worth the set up, save a template and its there for every song

Ok that's some good tips. I'll try that. The reaper rearoute.
