Just shove the X into a MPK249, junk the fader section and replace the middle section with the tiltable screen and the fader section with controls and Qlinks.

Might even be better to just replace the Force with this offering, swapping out the larger pads for a Launchpad mini style 64-pad grid.

But adding a super portable, cheap controller, to the Live, does absolutely NOTHING, it doesn't save you money, it doesn't save you space.

I'd prefer a separate keyboard. Give me a 32-37 key, no pad Advance with MPC guts, compatible with the software, syncable to / integrated with the X/Live/One. They'd work together similar to but better than Maschine / Komplete Kontrol since it would have a sequencer and be standalone. It could be like a modern ASR 10.

The MPD232. Remove those buttons at the bottom, slide the faders and qlinks down, and replace everything at the top-right with Maschine-type double screens, but touchscreen. And squeeze in more buttons at the top-left. And as usual, they'd have to shrink their oversize branding. I'll take that for a the 3rd generation Live.
