Can the MPC do it like this?

this sounds so silly to me why would you want to change the tempo like that in the middle of a song ?and back and forth at that ? i don't know man but the mpc is a powerful piece of equipment and ther ain't many out there that can compete with it .

Is this a serious question? Of course the MPC can do that and more. Honestly I could probably pull that off on the old BossSP202 I had. The MPC can do anything an SP1200 can do and much more, it just has a different sound quality. That's it, everything else is up to the operator.

I'm not really feelin'JEL's stuff that I've heard so far. If you want to hear somebody perfom magic with an SP1200 buy a Pete Rock album.

If you want to hear magic with the SP1200 turn on about any Hip Hop album from the 80's including all of RUN DMC's stuff, Beastie Boys, Big Daddy Kane, EPMD, Public Enemy.


Rick Rubin was the king of the SP1200. Little white boy making beats for all the big playas of the 80's.

all you need to do is make different sequences at different tempos, use the same sounds in both sequences, unless you are using loops, then you need to make a new version of the sound at the alternate tempo and assign it to a different notepad. there are other ways of doing this too such as 16 levels and the note variation slider but thes methods will adjust the pitch.
how smooth this will sound is up to you.
