I will never agree that speaker is a nice touch. It was a unexpected thing when I got a Jupiter XM, but for MY PURPOSES, I don’t see it being useful in a sample based atmosphere. That’s not to say it won’t be unexpected or expected step in the right direction for others, but just not me. I like turning on my little roland keyboard and just jamming even with batteries. However, on a mpc I don’t think it will be as useful.

I expect more half asss rendered beats that sound even worse than mine. I struggle the most with making my beats sound “pro” despite my hearing damage and amateur experience, not to mention my main career being in construction business that requires me to be a perfectionist down to every detail. (Never leaving well enough alone)

I respect others opinions and experiences might not be the same as mine but that photoshop Live with the keyboard, although I wouldn’t bite, I think would be a step in direction for myself. You can argue Bout the mpc being not too different than me using the Jupiter rompler, but trust me it is. As a whole the Jupiter really excels as a system for practicing AND professional level instrument at the same time, where to me the the new live is trying to force itself into being a tight integrated system. I like the live a lot more than my beloved Mpc 4000, but that doesn’t mean Akai is ticking the boxes for me.

Ffs. The force is more of a playable instrument and speaker on that would make more sense. The long loading times defeats the whole im going to work on my chord progressions for a half hour before bed idea.

When I turn on the mpc I want to get actual work done. When I turn on the Jupiter I want to turn on and work on the 7 different song ideas I have going on, loading up instantly. You may be different, I’m cool with that. Just understand the context I’m coming from.

Sounds to me like a that loudness button on old hifi. But here you're unable to turn it off.
what about the mids AKAI?? what about the mids?????

Does this really need its own (and another) topic so we can talk again about that hardly anybody understands akai's choices in ''updating'' the live?

I have a shipping date now of May 23rd when I ordered this morning it was the 30th.

For those of you picking one up... hopefully you can get outside and make some beats
