2.8 bug loss of VSTI sound presets on old songs OSX

A friend of mine on OSX upgraded his X to 2.8 and lost all his VSTI presets on old songs

all vstis are using the defaut sound preset

kinda weird cause nobody else seems to have this bug

anybody still have 2.7.2 firwmare and software (for mac)?

why would akai remove from their site 2.7.2 and leave 2.6

Someone on Live v2.8 (usb update) lost files from a project, standalone, on extra internal hdd (1tb). Some projects are missing several samples.

wow loosing saved projects on a hdd thats sad ... i guess i will backup projects before next upgrade.

i never do it via usb

and damm im pretty sure 2.7.2 wasnt here anymore when i checked after he told me it wasnt there too

i see it now

It was me. I loss files. Don’t know how or why it happened. They just vanished.

OK for the firmware i see 2.7.2

BUT on sofware side here is all i see :

PC or Mac? Have PC install 2.7.2 on my backup drive still

thanks but the guy was on mac and managed to go back to 2.6 and all his songs are fine now

Did a test. Made a beat and saved it on the internal. Turned the MPC off and on. Downgraded 2.7.2 load the beat from 2.8 and it worked. So I turned the MPC off and on and reloaded 2.8. Then Load the same beat again and all the programs and samples loaded, but the sequence was gone.

nope still dont see that archive link but found the page via google so thanks again for that info:)
but still no 2.7.2 in that archive and i did CONTROL F in case
