My sh!t sounds kinda foul

Sometimes when I load drums into my MPC they sound well distorted, and unclear when I press the pads or play the sequence...Its not always though so I can't understand whats happening....

Does anyone have any ideas?

No, maybe your RAM is a bit dodgy....Where did u get it from? If not that perhaps your connections are something to look at
