I always crack when people say: ''its not even that old''. Geez.... It's electronic hardware. It can go bust. Deal with it.

Contact Akai and get it looked at or replaced..

Only way i can see that happening....It was a Floor Model, the Sleep Mode was Probably set to "NEVER". Bout time you bought it, Retailer then Reset/Updated everything, sold it you, then the Burn got worse in the Three Months you owned it.

Akai MAY do something for you. Tell them you just took it out the Box, and hopefully they can do somethin for you

That’s a defective screen. Assuming it was bought from an authorized dealer, it’s covered under your warranty.

No it doesn’t. At least it shouldn’t.

Thought it was a defect. My boy bought one from the same shop at the same time. His screen is fine (same usage, 5-6 hours) .....spoke to the dealer today, Its being sorted under warranty.

Do what you want mate but you'll find the replacement will do the same...

I've confirmed this on multiple X's and have confirmed it with Akai themselves who on my behalf contacted the manufacturers of the screens which are different than the screens on the Live btw... They also confirmed it.

Unless Akai have started using different screens on the X (which I doubt), it will happen with everyones...

Easiest way for people to confirm is to leave their X on Pad Perform mode for 20-45 mins then switch to the main menu and you'll see the burn.

It always goes away tho... Most people don't realise unless you use certain modes for longer periods of time... List Edit, Pad Perform...

Yea it'll happen if you disable the Sleep Setting and leave it on the same screen for a Week or so....Just On and Burning

Thats what the Sleep option is for

I just thought the sleep setting was there mainly to conserve the MPC Live's battery when in standalone. LCD screen burn hasn't been a thing since the early 2000's, except on really cheap/crappy screens, early plasma screens, and early OLED.

Yes...it does help conserve battery power, but my X has sleep mode too. No Battery in there.

These are Cheap Crappy Screens
