Now... if they could only make one for the 2000XL and the failing screen, that would be impressive.

I'm super happy that mpc stuff still comes out with anything like this. The amount of cracked control panel boards for the 60/3000 I've seen is too much.

I had a look at their v2 screen implementation and totally respect why they went that route. In the 3-4 years since they came out with that design, there have been newer advancements and cost cutting measures with FPGA's that I can 100% see could improve the screen. The issue is that who is going to front the money to cover the inherent costs to make a 'v3' or whatever alternative title you want to name it?

Unfortunately Akai didn't use the same driver ic that was used on the 60 / 3000 / S series which coincidentally have made it much easier for everyone to come up with new LCD / LED iterations of it.
