I'm not sure of your double quote is done on purpose so you are asking both of us. Read this only if you asked me please, thanx: Myself, i'm here to learn about MPC, exchange with people, and eventually make MPC better.

Now, We will look at the bugfix log when a new firmware will come up. I'm totally confident akai will make it right,( i like my X, it's the center of my studio) and I'm proposing that new firmwares that will fix bugs are only given to people who reports problems! ha ha (joke)

Did you ever think it takes some days to test an update?
Do you know what is test?
2.8 is great for optimization and multimidi but it also has side effects that were untested.
There is a conflict between data dial and qlink overlays on track mute, for example, and instant track mute is not working as before.
By the way, did you unbox your disliked mpc and tried 2.8 or you just talk because you don't know what to do?

So what are the main new features on 2.8? I used 1.8 up until I found out the newer software had xfader looping. That was a few months ago. Then I upgraded. The main differences that came into play for me was using the generate random events feature, more effects, and xfader looping. Also the bugs in song mode seemed to be fixed.
