I miss the global filter and pitch controls from the MPC4000.

Obviously slapping a filter on the master is a rough workaround but doesn’t produce the same results as it colours everything at the same rate as opposed to just the programs where a filter is active, as the 4K used to do... and a pitch shifter on the master doesn’t do the same thing at all.

Has anyone found a workaround for this?

You can set Filter and Pitch control on the Program level by selecting "All" Pads within the Program. Other than that...It seems like your workaround is the only way i can think of...

Just put the filter and pitch effects as inserts on programs or tracks and assign them to qlink project mode.

Dive into and get to know Q-Link edit, everything you want is in there.

Global would be PROJECT now.
PROGRAM is each individual program when selected on main.
More Q-Links and much more robust.

Customize your shit and get that MPC 4000 q-link magic happening again, I did.

Thanks Lamp... What I’m really looking for is the functionality of the global or ALL setting in the 4K - it created some really dynamic and distinctive effects as it affected all programs relative to their original state. Haven’t seen anything like that in the X’s q-link options - which are great in other ways but just don’t seem to have project-wide settings other than volume, pan, mute... the master pitch control is also a big omission.
