Hi,

Recently I have purchased the app touchosc and I was thinking if that could work to control the mpc live since it has wifi.

I did some online research, but could not find anything. Has anyone here got experience with using touchosc with the live? Would love to share knowledge on this subject.

I can't seem to find if touchosc has the ableton link. But why just not try it out? Check the video above how to set it up.

Once both the mpc and your ipad/phone is connected to the same network, enable ableton link in the settings of the mpc. Then startup touchosc and check if it sees the connection. If it doesn't make the connection, i think touchos doesn't support ableton link.

However, it should be possible to connect via bluetooth using a bluetooth midi adapter. I found a usefull topic about that here:

TouchOSC should work via BT midi. (sending midi messages, not OSC)
WiFi for the moment is for Ableton Link and Splice integration

Thank you guys for the suggestions. I have found touchosc to be not working, except for midi. So I will create my own patch for touchosc and use the computer to translate it to midi. That in theory should work. Too bad I can't use touchosc directly, but at least there is a workaround.

Ableton link does indeed work like a charm. Interestingly it even seems to sync tighter over link then over midi, which is a great added benefit.
