What kind of SD card should i purchase to store/save my songs on. Do they sell them at the local Walmart or Best buy

You can use any SD card. I'd suggest checking the speed to make sure you don't get something slow. If I recall correctly it supports up to 2TB drives, so you can use pretty much any SD card on the market.
I'd avoid getting them from eBay or third party Amazon drives that might be hacked to look larger than they are though.
