Eq query

Hi all
New to the mpc world, been playing around for last 2 weeks with the one and finally getting used to the OS.
Question about eqs on pads, which one do you use to eq drum hits?
I am feeling like a retard but cant manage to use one on a kick to remove high end of the freqs..
Used to the graphic one like on Ableton, but frankly lost with non graphic one on mpc..
Say im using peq 4 band, how do i remove everything above 70mhz? Or eq a snare & remove below 150 & 700?

Confused with q & gain manipulation
Sounds like a noob question but can not visualise what i am doing like i would with a graphically represented eq..

Learn how to use classic eq, it's the basic of all.
Trust your ears and the Q factor is your best friend.
On Air Paraeq you have all you need.
Higher Q settings closes the bell, lower open it.
And on next window you also have LPF and HPF.

Don’t forget the filter and amp envelopes, play with those also, some creative things can happen there.

That does work sometimes and many times it can prevents the music from gluing together. Those frequencies create interesting harmonies underneath. Jam Bands really do a good job expressing that in the music, that why many don't need that glue at the end.
