miding w/ the mpc- triton or any keyboard

Please spare me---but i've searched but haven't found what i'm looking for ---can anyone tell me if you can actually play the keys or notes on the keyboard and actually record them as played to the sequencer on the mpc via midi? please help a brother out

Yes you can. Check out the newbie forum on the site and the MPC Tutor`s Beat Making on the 2KXL right above ya to learn knowledge is better than the lastest equipment.

Thanks for the info and guidance, DID,NT EXACTLY FIND WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, BUT THE MIDI BITS AND PIECES WERE HELPFUL. After searching the forum, I was afraid to even post the question for fear of some of the demeaning responses i've read. I'm a Trauma Nurse, Rape forensic nurse, and a clinical educator for a very busy Emergency room and have to teach all the nurses who come to the dept. old/ new, and some more decorated than me, But if I have to tell them or explain to the 100 times how to do a { E J } external jugular, placing a I.V. in the neck, I do and will w/o reservation. Simply put 1. It's why i'm in that position ( the forum) to teach by choice. 2. they are only as good as I make them ( even the more knowledgeable team members. I'm never afraid of their skills. 3. I would most certainly learn from them also. 4. A verbalized demeaning remark would feel great to the sender and exacerbate that superior complex but will do nothing but anger, demean, and compound the frustration of the person who really need help, or at least reference them to a source politely. I do not equate this FORUM with saving lives and no this is not the Emergency ROOM for those eager to tell me this.... AND FOR THE MOST PART I FEEL THAT IF I DID NOTHING BUT TOYED IN MY STUDIO ALL DAY EVERY DAY, I WOULD'NT HAVE EVEN ASKED.........( a response i read from a person stating he was mpc-ing all day every day and gave a very demeaning solution to another member's urgent post) actually the post was'nt urgent--but to the member who can't get in his studio all day every day and have to rely on the forum he probably thought it was an emergency......SO THANK YOU SO MUCH, GIGANTICALLY FOR NOT MAKING ME FEEL BAD, UNWANTED AND LESS NOT FORGET STUPID...... I think you should probably go into more detail with your question. I'm not a Triton user, but it has been talked about quite a bit here. Anyway, if you are asking about using the Triton's sequencer to record to the MPC's sequencer, Yes. You should be able to do that.
