Hey everyone

I recently came across a Roland Integra 7 sound module and was wondering if anyone had any connection tips with your Akai gear?

I currently have a DAWless set up with a couple of MPC Ones and an Arturia Keystep Pro as my midi controller. I wanted to add the Integra to that mix and I’m thinking with the new 2.8 update, it should be pretty smooth?

Thanks all

Easy, just patch a cable from the integra's midi in (or usb? don't know if the integra has this) to the midi out of one of your mpc ones, hook up the arturia keystep via the midi (mid out keystep to midi in of mpc) or usb. Then make a new midi track and there you can set the midi output and the midi output channel. Now you can use the keystep as a midi controller to play the sounds in the integra.

Me, I already kybds and drum machines and I can control an Integra. I’d choose Integra.

If I had an older kybd and wanted to upgrade the actual kybd I’d choose FA-06.

Comfortable with your current kybd? Choose Integra.

I would most likely connect my X, Kronos and Integra (EMU TURBO PHATT right now) the same way OP is connecting his gear.

Congratulations! You made a great choice in purchasing the Integra 7 to use with your MPC. I have the MPC X and just order the Integra 7 that will be delivered next week. The I7 is a beast with 6000 plus sounds. I believe my Komplete Ultimate 11 is going to be feeling very lonely.

I can respond after I receive my I7. It will arrive midweek. I have already downloaded the iPad app and purchased cables for the 8 outputs. I will give a review after I have midi to the MPC X and create a song with it.

  ^5 on that on. With the I-7 you can't go wrong. Im using a lot of my Roland VST sounds and man l just freakin love it. My midi keyboard is a 76 Roland A30 and l love it. And l so live the Roland VST 5080 OMG  I LOVE THAT THING! You can edit more when its VST than the hardware. You can get to the sounds quicker too. Roland is beastin out right now.
