Id like to know exactly what a turntable would have to have to be compatible with my MPCX. Im only looking to spend $100. Are there any recommended turntables for sampling? Will they all provide the same quality when the sample is loaded into the MPCx. Thanks

Numark PT01 USB. I have one. Don’t really use it, but I have it. It’s a pretty cool turntable. Portable too.

Make sure you can change the cardrige, that's half the sound of a turntable.

Audio-Technica AT-LP60's can be found for $99-$129 and are excellent turntables with built-in switchable phono pre-amplifier with RCA output (so either line out or phono). I've seen them used for less than $89 USD on Reverb.

Will they provide the same quality? No. An entry level turntable for $100 does NOT sound as good as a $1000 USD Technics SL-1200 (and that's without a cartridge). The question is: will you really notice?

Geez, are 1200s that expensive now? I bought two about 10 years ago for 650 euro (800 usd?)..

Anyway, i also had a numark PT01. They are nice, small and handy, but the built quality isn't all that. Mine broke after a few years. One of a friend of mine also is cracked.. The longetivy isn't that long.. especially compared to my sl 1200s which are steady as a rock.

Looks like the SL-1200MK7's currently are:

And that's without a cartridge. You can find semi-decent cartridges for around $99 USD, though.
