hello guys, just got the mpc one yesterday. i updated the firmware to 2.8 and installed the mpc 2.0 s/w on my pc.

the problem i am having (i'm sure its just a noob thing) is that when i bounce my midi sample track to audio, it misses the first sample, and then it seems to cut out audio on some of the other samples in the track.

i can get it to capture the first sample, if i move everything on the midi track to the right by 1/2 a bar or so, but then it still cuts out in places on the audio track.

the midi track plays perfectly, and i can play the pads just fine - the only problem is when i try to bounce it out.

i did see something on the internet about changing from poly to mono, but that did not seem to help. if you guys can think of anything else that may be the problem, i would appreciate the help! thank you.

There are several things it could be. I'd look at the list editor and make sure that the notes are landing where you think they are. Assuming not the issue, but I'd check mutes as well.

If you have a simple example, might be worth either recording a video or sharing your project for others to check out too.

how can i upload my file to share? it does seem like some sort of issue where 1 sample is cutting off the next one.

i have tried to extend the notes in the midi grid, but that does not seem to help from getting cut off either.

sooo, i never figured out how to get the bounced audio to play the samples correctly, so i exported the project using the midi track. it seemed to work ok, and the samples came out fine in the wav. are there any drawbacks to using this work around? (using bounced audio tracks and midi tracks during the export)

also, i noticed that the bassline volume was very low. i made sure all the note impacts were at 100, increased the channel volume to +6 (max) and it was still low- other than doubling the track, are there any other secrets to increase a single track volume? (other instruments play louder - just the ones i liked seemed to play pretty low)

I was having the same issue. It’s a hit or miss but but I’m pretty sure it has something to do with mute groups. My work around is to mute all my tracks before I bounce to audio.
